A member of our family, a pensioner, had eye problems. He went for eye surgery at a government institution. He had problems again afterwards on that one eye and eventually the eye went blind. He went back for another consultation and a staff member told him that it seems the hospital had bungled the surgery and that he can sue the hospital. He ignored the advice and went back for another consultation. They informed him that there’s nothing more they can do for him and he must just live with the blindness in that eye. He also got operated on the other eye at another government institution. That other eye is fine. What do we do in this situation?
